BGC Wolf Creek hosted its Family Fun Night at the Ponoka Youth Centre on Sept. 15.
About 250 people attended throughout the evening, enjoying face painting, music and dancing, bouncy castles and more.
Some participants filled out a questionnaire asking how the youth centre has impacted their family, receiving a lot of positive feedback.
One respondent said the centre “means more than anyone could ever imagine for our community” adding they go above and beyond for the families.
Another spoke about how their children have gained confidence to make new friends and how comforting it is to know they have strong bonds with the staff members. The centre also means parents are able to work full-time, as other child care options are limited.
Consistent, safe childcare and a sense of community as well as fun family events were what another commenter said they appreciate about the youth centre.
