Ceremony held at Ponoka cemetery Oct. 11

The Ponoka Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 66 held its annual candlelight vigil on Oct. 11, at the Forest Home Cemetery.

The vigil honours the fallen from the World War 1 and 2 as well as the Korean war.

Members of the East Ponoka 4-H Beef Club and Ponoka Secondary Campus students attended the vigil, helping to place electronic candles on veteran’s headstones and paying their respects during the short ceremony.

Refreshments were served at the legion following the ceremony.
