UPDATE: Scene of serious multi-vehicle collision near Leduc now cleared

Alberta RCMP Traffic Leduc and emergency services are currently on scene at a multi-vehicle collision on QEII northbound just north of Highway 616 in Leduc County. Motorist are being asked to take alternate routes.

UPDATE:
As of 2: 55 p.m. : Alberta RCMP Traffic Leduc would like to advise the scene has been cleared.
 
On July 2, 2024, at approximately 1:11 p.m., Alberta RCMP Traffic Leduc received a report of a 5-vehicle collision on QEII northbound, north of Highway 616 in Leduc County. One passenger was assessed my EMS on scene and no other vehicle occupants reported injuries.
 
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
